WHEW!!! A really hot day for soccer games!

Avery flying through the air with the greatest of ease!

A really hot, exhausted look.

I don't know who passed around the eye black, but Avery's was smudged and messy after about 5 minutes.  That is all the longer she lasted before she dumped water all over her head.  She had a great game and scored two goals!

Myah at her third game.  She had a jamboree with three 1/2 length games.  The temperature was 94 at her last game.  Very warm for Oregonians!

I can't believe how long Cooper played and played at the playground.  I had to douse him with water quite a few times.  Aurora had a tournament in Scappose.  Dave took her, I took the camera, hence I have no pictures of either of them!

1st day of school!

Aurora started 6th grade at Tom McCall upper Elementary on Thursday.  She hung out with me on Wednesday when Avery and Myah had their first day of school.  She had a great day.  Cooper was so sad on Thursday watching the girls walk to school and their bus stop.  He ran down the road crying after them!  It made me so sad.  He is going to miss them!
Avery cracked me up because she wanted her picture taken in the tree!  She is just practicing for her senior pictures in a really long time!   My sister Audrey had her senior picture taken in a very similar pose.  She is in 2nd grade at Echo Shaw and for the 1st time is the only one in our family at her school.

Myah was so excited for school she was up at 5:45 the morning school started.  She is in 5th grade at Tom McCall and since she has never taken the bus to school she was so excited to ride the bus!  I remember that feeling!  The first time I ever rode the bus to school was in 7th grade and I was so excited too!

Kayaking on the Upper Stillwater Lake

While in Kalispell we traveled up to the Upper Stillwater.  We were the only people on the lake.  It was absolutely beautiful, peaceful and calming.  My brother Nate, his wife Maile and my parents enjoyed the beauty with us.  How lucky  and blessed we are.

Hanging out with my Dad and Mom.

Dave and Nate had a great time braving the cool water.  I was already a little cold and did not get in despite Dave's pressure!

There is a pretty decent current where the log jam is left over from the old logging camp.  Dave continued to try to get to  the top, but the current won out!

We jumped around on all the old residual logs to walk across the river.

Maile is the woman for timers on anything.  With just one quick look, I was able to figure mine out and snap a few group pictures.  Thanks for the inspiration Maile!

Foys Lake

My parents are lucky enough to have a beautiful lake just 2 minutes up the hill from their house.  Foys Lake has amazing aqua blue water.  The lake is beautiful.  The perfect added bonus was we were the only boat on the lake for the day.  When we left at at three, one other boat had just dropped in.

Myah catching a little air on the wake board.

Now Dave catching a little air too!

The water was perfectly clean most of the day!  We couldn't stop talking about it!

Trying to get a little spray!

Dave and Cooper soaking up the sun.

Aurora with my nephew Cannon.  This was his first time on the tube, so we were cautious!  I love how Aurora is checking her nails.

Slip and Slide

While we were visiting my parents, my dad rounded up a gigantic slip and slide.  He found used vinyl signs, Dave and Nate nailed the sign to the grass and we added water and Joy dish soap.  Everyone had a complete blast!

My mom had the great idea of retrieving the winter sleds out of hibernation.  They worked perfectly.

Grandpa taking a ride on the wild side!

Avery had a personal mission to beat Grandpa down every time.  Of course she did most of the time!

I LOVE this picture.  Grandpa about ran Avery over, but she still beat him down the slide!

Avery recovering after the collision!

My brother Nate with the two little boys on the sled!

Avery had grass in places that I didn't know grass could exist!

At the end of the day we had an amazing hail and thunderstorm.  I love the late afternoon thunderstorms in Kalispell!  We were on the lake and pulled the boat out in the nick of time!  Dave and I were drenched by the time we pulled out of Foys Lake.

Glacier National Park

We took these Jammer buses up the "Going to the Sun Road" in Glacier. The kids loved the open roof and not wearing seatbelts. The views were spectacular.
The family at the top of Logan Pass.

A beautiful view of the Garden Wall.
There is quite a bit of construction on the road since there are only about 3 months that there is not any snow, so we waited a twice for about 20 minutes each. Aurora and Myah put their heads through the open roof and gave me a big smile!

Cooper was in a super kissable mood and was giving us all kisses, but the most came my way!
Throwing rocks! A favorite pass time of my one year old.
Myah in her groove in the kayak at Lake McDonald.
More rock time for Cooper.
A spectacular thunderstorm was quicly approaching. The girls on the shore of the lake right before we had to run for it!
